What has happened here
The Manning River at Taree peaked at 5.7 m in March 2021, just short of the 6 m high of 1929, inundating properties in Taree South and Glenthorne. On 7 July 2022 Taree had its wettest day on record, 305 mm in 24 hours, and in May 2025 the river passed the 1929 record in a major flood. Know your flood risk before the next one.

Questions people ask
Is this an official warning?
Only when it comes from a recognised emergency service. A notice from anyone else is a word from locals, and is labelled that way.
Who can raise an alert on this hub?
The hub, and any group linked under it. Each notice says who raised it.
Do I need an app?
No. A notice is at the top of every page of this site. Keep the state warnings app as well for the whole picture.
What if I need rescue, not word?
Ring 000 if a life is at risk, or the SES on 132 500 for storm and flood help. The hub is for word, not rescue.
